Who We Are
Jessica’s Story
I founded Simply Southern Spaces in 2024 out of a pure passion for home organization and the peace it brings to everyday life. While my background was in corporate sales—where success was measured in numbers—the fulfillment just wasn’t there. I wanted to do something I truly loved, something that made a real difference in people’s lives.
Looking back, my love for organization started early. My mom instilled in me a strong sense of order—everything had a place, and tidiness was non-negotiable. As a kid, I found her rules a bit much, but as I grew older, I realized I had inherited her love for structure, labeling, color coding, and, yes, even making sure everything matched perfectly. I had been ROYGBIV-ing and alphabetizing for as long as I could remember!
Then, in 2020, I became a mom. During those early days, I stumbled upon The Home Edit on Instagram. I was immediately hooked—taking notes, buying the book, and binging the Netflix series. I remember thinking, Why didn’t I come up with this idea? Fast forward to 2024: my son was in school, and I was at a crossroads, deciding my next career move. One night, while obsessively researching the best clear plastic bins (and getting way too excited about them), it hit me—this was what I was meant to do.
And so, Simply Southern Spaces was born—a home organization company focused on creating seamless, practical, and stylish solutions that simplify your space and eliminate clutter. My goal is to provide systems that are not only functional but also easy for families to maintain. Simple, chic, and built with the customer’s best interest in mind—every decision, every detail.
While I once believed my expertise was in sales, account management, and closing deals, I later realized my diverse background had equipped me with the entrepreneurial spirit and skills to launch and grow a business. Now, I get to wake up every day and do something I love, helping others create spaces that bring clarity, calm, and joy.
